Bart Cummings
James Bartholomew "Bart" Cummings AM (14 November 1927 – 30 August 2015), likewise known by his initials J. B. Cummings, was a standout amongst the best Australian racehorse mentors. He was known as the "Containers King", alluding to the Melbourne Cup, as he won 'the race that stops a country' a record twelve times. Amid his lifetime Cummings was viewed as an Australian social symbol and an Australian National Living Treasure.
